It has a stand to prevent you from falling if you lose your balance or get hit. You ride the bike with the stand down and then you don’t fall.
It’s like training wheels. Those Germans are brilliant!

If I were you, I’d get a dirt bike and learn how to ride and fall. After you do that for awhile, then get a street bike.
